Carlos A. Pérez Ricart (Mexico City, 1987)

I am an assistant Professor at the Department of International Studies, Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), and a postdoctoral fellow at at the Latin American Centre & Facuty of History, University of Oxford. 


 I hold a PhD in Political Science at the Freie Universität Berlin (2016) and have a degree in International Relations of El Colegio de México (2011). My research and teaching interests include the relationship between Mexico and the United States, security and organized crime, arms trade, drug policies and state formation. My research has been funded by grants from Mexican, German and British public institutitons.

Trabajo como profesor-investigador en el Departamento de Estudios Internacionales, Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), y soy investigador posdoctoral en el Instituto de Estudios Latinoamericanos y en la Facultad de Historia de la Universidad de Oxford. 


Tengo grado de doctor en Ciencias Políticas por la Universidad Libre de Berlín (2016) y una licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales por El Colegio de México (2011). Mis intereses de docencia e investigación incluyen el estudio de la relación México-Estados Unidos, seguridad y crimen organizado, tráfico de armas, políticas de drogas y teorías de formación del Estado. Mi investigación ha sido financiada por instituciones públicas mexicanas, alemanas e inglesas.
